Man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after fatal A14 crash

A man's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, after a crash involving three vehicles near Beyton.
It happened around 6pm last night, on the A14 eastbound, near Bury St Edmunds.
Police were called to reports of a three-vehicle collision involving two lorries and a van, near the roadworks.
Fire and ambulance crews - including the air ambulance - attended, but the driver, a 53 year old man, of a van involved was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second lorry driver was taken to West Suffolk Hospital as a precaution.
The other driver sustained no injury.
A man aged in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
The eastbound section of the road, between junctions 43 and 46 remains closed.
The westbound carriageway reopened at about 5am this morning.
