A 55 year old crisp packet has been discovered by a group of litter pickers in Kesgrave.

The roast chicken flavour Golden Wonder crisps were sold at some point in 1968 at the cost of 6d.

The packet advertises a competition to win tickets to the 1968 Mexico Olympics, which took place in Mexico City.

Volunteers from local litter picking group Rubbish Walks CIC made the discovery.

The award winning group raises awareness about single-use plastic and the harm it can cause to the environment

One of their projects is the Vintage Litter Museum, which displays vintage items of plastic packaging collected by litter pickers in and around Suffolk.
