Always an advocate of the Underdog, Ken Bruce is on a mission to help Dogs Trust find forever homes for some of their paw-some pups.

Ken’s already introduced his first Underdog Rocky to the world, and we’re all rooting for the cuddle-loving Lurcher Cross to find his happy place in a new home before the year’s out.

We think Rocky will be scooped up pretty quickly, but there are thousands of dogs like him at Dogs Trust rehoming centres across the country, waiting patiently to find their new homes.

Here are just some of the dogs we’d love to help:

Ken’s Underdogs:

Name: Lilypad the Belgian Malinois

Location: Cardiff

Lilypad is an active dog with a zest for life! From hiking up hills to agility, Lilypad is a fast learner who will quickly become your best friend. She's a joy to train, so an adopter who wants to teach her new things and continue the training already in place would be ideal. Lilypad is a very loyal dog, and once she has a bond with someone, she is super affectionate. We have a feeling she’ll be an absolute cuddle monster in the home!

Name: Jasper the Jack Russell

Location: Glasgow

Jasper is a very intelligent pup who loves his toys and learning new tricks! Whilst he can be a little worried in new situations or by new people, he builds fantastic bonds and absolutely loves a cuddle! Jasper is looking for a family who can always be at home with him, especially whilst he’s settling in. He will really make a rewarding pet in the right home.

Name: Peppy the Patterdale Terrier

Location: Shoreham (near Brighton)

Peppy is a one-of-a-kind pooch with an abundance of character! His perfect match would be an adult-only family who share his passion for the outdoors and have the time to continue working with him on his training. Peppy is super smart and keen to learn, so he makes for an excellent student! Toys are one of his favourite things and he’ll become puppy-like when receiving something new to play with, charging around in a state of utter excitement!

Name: Thor the German Shepherd x Husky

Location: Snetterton, Norfolk

Thor is a friendly, handsome two-year-old German Shepherd x Husky. He's quite the socialite, always eager to greet everyone with a warm hello and never shy about requesting a snuggle and some affection. Thor enjoys meeting up with other dogs and has the potential to live with another dog but due to his hip dysplasia we're seeking a calm home environment for him that can manage his activity levels. Thor is a very sweet boy who will be a lovely addition to his new family.

Name: Storm the crossbreed

Location: Manchester

An absolute whirlwind, we can guarantee you’ll never have a boring day with Storm! He’s a cheeky three year old crossbreed who never fails to put a laugh on his handlers faces. He loves a cuddle and will happily sit with you to watch the world go by. With his gorgeous looks, it’s no surprise he steals all the attention (as well as all the treats). Storm will need an adult-only home where his adopters will be around for most of the time.
