Matt Goss joined Kate Thornton on Greatest Hits Radio to chat about his upcoming tour, new single, and most importantly if he would be up for reuniting with his brother Luke, for a Bros reunion and tour.

Following the release of his new song 'We Are Not Broken' on Valentine's Day, Matt is set to embark on a solo tour next month called 'Matt Goss: The Hits & More Tour'. However, before his solo career, both here and in Las Vegas, he was part of the very successful 80s band Bros with his brother Luke.

Will Bros reunite and go on tour?

It's the question that's on every Bros fan's lips, will Matt and Luke Goss reunite to work on new music and go on tour? The duo reunited back in 2017 for a 30th anniversary show at the O2 Arena in London, they also took part in a documentary called Bros: After the Screaming Stops, however, recently it has looked unlikely they will reunite again, but Matt has given fans a glimmer of hope.

Chatting to Kate, Matt admitted he would definitely be up for working with his brother again and he would love to go on tour, but it would take both of them.

"I would love to (reunite) honestly Kate," he told her. "I would love to do a new record with Luke, I'd love to do another documentary, and I'd love to go on tour again. But again, like I'm one half of that, I'm the singer and he's got his own career and so, if he was yes, I would."

Speaking about the documentary Bros: After the Screaming Stops, Matt explained how it made him fall in love with the band again, but, "It also let me realise there's a lot of unfinished business between me and his brother, and some of the personal side of things," he told Kate.

"It's been a real journey, and continues to be a real journey, but I'm very proud of that film, because it was warts and all, and it wasn't a fluff piece. But, there's a lot that goes along with that kind of film."

The meaning behind 'We Are Not Broken'

On Valentine's Day 2025, Matt released his new song called 'We Are Not Broken', telling Kate all about the inspiration and meaning behind the song.

"I wrote it maybe four-five months ago, I really love this song," he told Kate. "And, I really am proud of the record and when you write something that makes you emotional, I think that you know, that's valid, and that's really why I got into music.

"So, to be able to be a singer songwriter and create something and put a video to it. (We've just finished a video) Everyone loves it, so it's nice to have those butterflies again you know? Those excited butterflies about music and releasing music."

Matt Goss opened up about the driving emotion behind his new song, telling Kate: "If you really want a relationship to work, I think you've got to allow your ego to burn. If you want to be truthful with somebody you love...

"One of the line is 'will you take me back', and really most people get so caught up in their own ego and own 'how's it going to come across', and the reality is, if you want to keep someone, just be honest and tell them how you feel.

"It's a record that basically says we can have fractures and we can have cracks in our soul and our personalities, but it doesn't mean we're broken we can still fix it. It's an emotional song for me."
