Woman threated with knife in Stoke-On-Trent salon robbery

Police are asking for help to trace a man they want to speak to

Staffordshire Police have released an image of a man they want speak to following an attempted robbery at a hair salon in Stoke-on-Trent.

It happened between 5pm and 5.15pm on Saturday (13 January) inside the salon on Trentham Road, Longton. The victim, a woman, was threatened with a knife.

No one was injured and nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as a man, with a Stoke accent, in his late 40s to early 50s. He was of a large build and was wearing grey Adidas jogging bottoms, black Nike trainers, a black cardigan, a black hat and a tartan designed face mask.

Following the incident, the suspect was seen on Longton Road before heading in the direction of Queens Park on foot.

Officers searched the area for him but did not find anyone matching the description.
