Woman and dog treated after Stoke house fire
Crews were called out this morning
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue have treated a woman and a dog for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Stoke-on-Trent earlier today (Tuesday 25 October).
Firefighters were called to an address off Garbett Street in Goldenhill, just after 11.20am on Tuesday.
Crews from Burslem, Hanley and Sandyford attended the scene as did colleagues from Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
On arrival, crews found a fire on the ground floor of the property.
Two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilator was used to extinguish the fire.
A woman, in her 30s, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.
A 17-year-old Jack Russell dog was also given oxygen at the scene and taken to the vets for further treatment.
