Witness appeal after man from Northwich dies in crash

Cheshire Police are appealing for more information following a fatal collision in Knutsford.

Just before 3.30pm on Thursday 4 March police were called to A556 in Plumley following reports of a collision involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Mercedes.

The driver of the black Vauxhall Corsa, a 44-year-old man from Northwich, died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicles before the incident to come forward.
