Two taken to hospital after Crewe house fire
Firefighters were at the scene of the blaze for over two hours
Two people have been taken to hospital after a house fire which started in a bedroom in Crewe.
Crews from Crewe, Sandbach and Nantwich attended the blaze at 10:39 on Friday 23rd April, on West Street. Firefighters were at the scene for over two hours.
Wearing two breathing apparatus, crews used a hose reel to tackle the flames. A large fan was also used to disperse smoke, and the roof was also inspected to see if the fire had spread.
The two people, who were the occupants of the house, were already out of the property by the time emergency services had arrived. Paramedics checked the pair over and they were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
