Two men taken to hospital following A500 crash in Staffordshire
The collision caused major disruption on the dual carriageway
Two men have been taken to hospital following a crash involving two cars and a van on the A500 in Staffordshire.
Emergency services were called just before 8am on Tuesday 11 January, near to the junction with the M6 in Audley.
The pair were taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital with non-serious injuries. A third person didn't require treatment.
The collision caused severe disruption on the A500 this morning.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said:“We were called at 7.55am to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Jn A500 of the M6 in Audley Rural.
"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival, we found two patients, both men. The first, the driver of the van, was assessed and had sustained injuries not considered to be serious. The second, the driver of one of the cars was assessed and had sustained injuries not considered to be serious.
"Both were conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment. The driver of the second car did not require assessment.”
