Two people from the West Midlands charged with murder after the death of a five-week-old baby

A man and a woman from the West Midlands area have been charged with murder after the death of a five-week-old baby.

Sean Jefferson aged 34 from Walsall, and Amy Leigh Clark, aged 33 from Lichfield, have also been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, and two counts of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.

They have also been charged with three counts of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.

The pair both appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday (2nd May) were remanded into custody.

They are due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 11th June.
