Two arrested as officers seize cannabis

Two men have been arrested after Staffordshire Police seized cannabis, cash and a mobile phone in Cannock.

Officers stopped a red Alfa Romeo at 2.30pm on Anglesey Street on Thursday 18 April and found cannabis.

The driver of the Alfa Romeo also provided a positive roadside test for cannabis.

When officers later searched an address in Cannock, they found further cannabis, cash, a mobile phone and scales.

A 26-year-old man, from Birmingham, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis and drug driving.

A 28-year-old man, from Cannock, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Both men have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

A 25-year-old man was issued with a community resolution for possession of cannabis.
