Just before 6pm yesterday, Sunday 30 July, police were called by colleagues at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service to Sutton Place, Chell Heath.

Firefighters extinguished a fire inside the ground floor of the building.

Despite no one being injured, a dog was sadly found dead inside.
