Three teenagers arrested after reported Stoke-on-Trent baseball bat attack

An 18-year-old was left with a suspected skull fracture.

Detectives, investigating a reported baseball bat attack in Stoke-on-Trent, have made three arrests.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after the incident believed to have taken place on Arbourfield Drive, Berry Hill shortly before 10pm on Wednesday 12 May.

Three 17-year-old boys from Stoke-on-Trent have been now been detained on suspicion of wounding with intent. They remain in police custody at this time.

Detective Inspector Scott McGrath from force CID said: "Despite making these three arrests, we are still appealing for people to come forward with any information regarding this attack.

"We are carrying out enquiries in the local area – including the assessment of CCTV.

"The victim has been left with a suspected skull fracture and remains in hospital at this time."
