Third man arrested on suspicion of murder after reported gunshots in Stoke-On-Trent

A third man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder by police investigating reports of gunshots in Stoke-On-Trent.

It happened at about 3.35pm on Tuesday 3 September near Winchester Avenue in Bentilee.

No-one was injured.

Since then, armed officers have searched a number of addresses across the city as part of the ongoing investigation.

Two men, aged 30 and 28, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They were questioned in custody and released on police bail with strict conditions.

Yesterday (Monday 9 September), a 24-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was questioned in custody and released with strict bail conditions.
