Ten men charged after woman and girl badly burned in house fire in Stoke-on-Trent

Ten men have been charged after a woman and a girl were badly burned in a house fire in Bentilee in 2021.
Police were called to reports of a blaze on Beverley Drive at about 10.55pm on 16th December 2021.
A 31-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Ali Abbas, aged 22, of Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life, arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered, violent disorder and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
Haris Mahmood, aged 20, HMYOI Brinsford, Shakil Uddin, aged 22, of Oldham, Muhammed Sufyaan-Shah, aged 24, of Rochdale, Tayyeb Majeed and Lukman Khan, both 23-years-old and from Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, and Riyadh Iqbal, aged 22, of Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, have all been charged with two counts of attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life and arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
Naveed Hussain, aged 31, of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with violent disorder and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
Kashif Ahmed, aged 24, of Abbey Hulton, Stoke-on-Trent, and Bilal Ahmed, aged 26 of Normacot, Stoke-on-Trent, have both been charged with violent disorder.
The men are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Monday 9th June.
