Two teens charged with murder of Brianna Ghey in Warrington

Cheshire Police have confirmed two teenagers have been charged following the death of Brianna Ghey.
A 15-year-old girl from Warrington and a 15-year-old boy from Leigh have today, Wednesday 15 February 2023, been charged with murder.
16-year-old Brianna’s body was discovered in Linear Park, Culcheth on Saturday afternoon, 11 February 2023.
In the force's statement confirming the update, it also said: 'The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against both 15-year-olds are now active and that they have the right to a fair trial.
'It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.'
