Staffordshire Police has informed us that a man has been charged following the murder of 54-year-old Suzanne Henry in Madeley, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Finn Henry, aged 20, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with Suzanne’s murder this afternoon (Thursday 4 May).

He will appear before magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow (Friday 5 May).

Police were first called to Newcastle Road, Madeley, at 9.46pm on Monday (1 May) following reports of a man acting suspiciously.

A short time later, a woman was found with serious facial injuries and rushed to hospital.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff over the last few days Suzanne died in hospital.

“We are solely focused on securing justice for Suzanne’s family and making sure we do everything possible to support them through this incredibly difficult time." said Detective Inspector Adrian Webb, from the Major Investigations Department.

“I’d like to thank all of those who have already been in touch with information and for the patience which has been shown around the cordon on Newcastle Road."
