Heavy rain causes flash flooding in Stoke-on-Trent
The council say they're trying to manage the situation
Sudden heavy rain has led to flash flooding in Stoke-on-Trent.
Pictures on social media show cars ploughing through water and people barricaded into buildings.
The council says it's sending it's highways teams out to manage the situation.
A Stoke-on-Trent City Council spokesperson said, "Sudden heavy rainfall has led to flash flooding across the city, particularly in Stoke town centre.
"Our highways teams are being deployed as quickly as possible to manage the situation and minimise disruption.
"We’ll continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed."
