Stoke City signing
The striker joins from Newcastle United
Stoke City have confirmed their signing of Dwight Gayle.
The top striker has signed a two-year deal with the Potters and could make his debut this weekend in a pre-season match against SPL side Hearts.
He becomes the club's sixth summer signing and has 59 goals from 100 Championship outings to his name, helping former club Newcastle United to promotion from the Championship three years ago.
Speaking about the move, he says:
“I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to get started now.
“There were a few parties that were interested but for me it was about finding a club that was right for me and after speaking to the gaffer and the coaches I heard everything I wanted to hear.”
