A man has been convicted of drug offences after officers found a cannabis grow in Stoke-on-Trent.

32-year-old Steven Phillip Kennedy pleaded guilty to permitting the production on premises of cannabis, and possessing cannabis.

The court heard how officers found around 90 cannabis plants in a business unit in Heron Cross.

Kennedy was arrested after being identified as the occupant of the unit.

He told officers he knew cannabis was being grown there, but wouldn't say who was responsible.

He's due to be sentenced on 5th March.
