Staffordshire Police officer charged with sexual assault
A police officer has appeared in court following an investigation by Staffordshire Police's Professional Standards Department
Staffordshire Police have confirmed an officer has appeared in court following an investigation by their Professional Standards Department.
Alex Trusler, aged 35, of Burntwood, has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault on a female in 2022 and 2023.
Trusler was suspended in September 2023, as soon as the allegations were reported.
He appeared a Cannock Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 16th May) and is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 13th June.
