Staffordshire parents learn primary school decision
They're being sent an update today on whether their children got into their first choice.
The majority of parents in Staffordshire will find out today (April 17) that they have been allocated their first-choice primary school.
More than 95 per cent of parents will find out that they have been allocated a place at their top preferred primary school, with more than 99 per cent being offered one of their top three.
Figures revealed today show that out of a total 9,155 places allocated, 8,706 received their first-choice primary school while 9,063 were allocated one of their top three.
Staffordshire County Council’s Deputy Leader Philip White said:
“It is hugely important for parents to know what school their children will be attending in September, which is why our admissions team have been working hard to ensure all Staffordshire parents know where their children will be going in the autumn.
“With more children needing primary school places compared to last year, allocating school places and accommodating parental choice is always a careful balancing act..”
Parents who applied online will be receiving emails about the results from today onwards.
