There are seven roads where the average house price is over £1 million

There are seven streets in Staffordshire where the average home is valued at more than £1 million.

A study by Zoopla shows, across the UK, there are nearly 1,800 streets across Britain in this bracket, compared with a year ago.

The South East of England accounts for about half of the increase, with 942 more million pound streets having been created there over the past year, compared with 262 in London.

But according to Zoopla Staffordshire does have some roads where the average house price is over £1 million

The most expensive roads in Staffordshire:

Weaverlake Drive, Burton

The average house price on Weaverlake Brive in Burton on Trent is £1,417,919.

Manor Park, Burton

At the end of this street, the houses get very pricey, with an average price of £1.35 million

Heath Road, Newcastle

This is just one house on Heath Road in Newcastle Under Lyme, where the average price is £1.27 million

Lysways Lane, Rugely

The average price of a house here is £1.2 million

Ellenhall, Stafford

Ellenhall in Stafford is the 5th most expensive street according to Zoopla with an average house price of £1.17 million

Holly Hill, Lichfield

Hollyhill Road in Lichfield has an average price of £1.1 million

Shut Lane Head, Newcastle

Shut Lane Head is the last of the million-pound streets, with an average house price of £1,033,063

Orchard Lane, Stafford

The average house price here is £988,412

  5. Ellenhall, Stafford ST21 - £1,172,309
  6. Hollyhill Road, Lichfield WS14 - £1,106,644
  7. Shut Lane Head, Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 - £1,033,063
  8. Orchard Lane, Stafford ST17 - £988,412
  9. Hollington Road, Uttoxeter ST14 - £960,846
  10. Crakemarsh, Uttoxeter ST14 - £955,166

Kensington has the most expensive street in Britain

For the 13th year in a row, Kensington Palace Gardens (postcode W8) in London was identified as Britain’s most expensive street, with homes there priced at nearly £29.9 million on average.

In second place for the third consecutive year was Courtenay Avenue (N6) in Highgate, London. The average property there is priced at £19.4 million.

Excluding London, Titlarks Hill (postcode SL5) in Ascot, Berkshire, was identified as the most expensive street in Britain, with the average home there put at £8.4 million.

Some postal towns outside London also have clusters of million pound streets.

Zoopla counted 176 in Guildford in Surrey, 137 in Reading in Berkshire, 133 in Sevenoaks in Kent, 115 in Harpenden in Hertfordshire, 105 in Altrincham in Greater Manchester and 98 in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.

This compares with just nine million pound streets found across the whole of Wales.
