A severe weather alert is in place across the West Midlands today, with heavy snowfall expected.
It's predicted the weather conditions will worsen from 3pm this afternoon, with the warning in place until 7am tomorrow.
The weather has cause major disruptions so far to travel, with some flights this morning due to land in Bristol being diverted to Birmingham.
National Highways are asking people to reconsider journeys and only drive if necessary and be prepared.
Larger vehicles and those not equipped with four wheel drive are expected to be the worst hit if driving in the snow and ice.
HGV drivers are also being asked to consider avoiding parts of the road network with steeper inclines such as the A49 in Shropshire.
National Highways Executive Director of Operations, Duncan Smith, said: "We are well prepared and our gritters have been out in full force since Friday and will continue to treat the roads. We are asking drivers to plan ahead, check the forecast and allow more time for their journeys.”
Other roads like the M5 and M42 are expected to be affected as well.
The snow is expected to ease off later this evening as it pushes up north.
