After a catastrophic season, Port Vale Football Club have lost their fight to stay in the League One division.

A 2-0 loss to Bolton saw them drop down to League Two.

The club's faced challenges off the pitch too this year, with fan protests, the departure of former manager Andy Crosby and the departure of its controversial Director of Football David Flitcroft.

Manager Darren Moore was appointed in February and described by owner Carol Shanahan as "the perfect person to help us achieve our immediate and long-term goals."

On his arrival, Darren Moore said that the "immediate aim is securing the club’s League One status between now and the end of this season whilst putting the foundations in place to create a clear footballing identity."

Sadly, Moore's efforts have gone amiss with only two wins under his belt since taking charge.
