Police investigation after man's death in Hanley

An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent.

Emergency crews were called Eastfield Drive, Hanley, shortly after 2.05am today, Wednesday 13 September.

Sadly, a 34-year-old man was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.

A cordon has been set up at the address whilst officers carry out their enquiries.

The death is being treated as unexpected by Staffordshire Police.

A 43-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. She has since been released on conditional police bail.

Another woman, aged 41, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs. She remains in custody at this time.

Police go on to say that they're carrying out enquiries in the local area and are keen to hear from any witnesses who may have information.
