Police appeal launched after fatal collision in Staffordshire
A motorcyclist sadly died in the crash
Staffordshire Police area appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision.
Just before 6am today (Thursday 5 October) it involved a motorbike and a stationary lorry.
Officers attended alongside crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the rider sadly lost their life at the scene.
Specialist officers are supporting the man's family. A stretch of Wellington Road in Burton will be closed whilst a detailed examination of the scene is carried out.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or those with CCTV and dashcam footage from the area, are asked to contact the force.
