Police appeal as teenage girl airlifted to hospital after collision
It happened in Newcastle-under-Lyme
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which involved a Transit van this morning (Tuesday 10 January).
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene at Red Lion Square and managed to free a pedestrian from underneath the van using specialist equipment.
The pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Liverpool.
At this stage, her injuries are not believed to be serious.
Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time.
