Police appeal after motorcyclist killed in suspected hit-and-run

Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died following a suspected hit-and-run on the A500 in Staffordshire.

Officers were called shortly before 10pm on Friday to the A500 at Audley, towards junction 16 of the M6, following reports of a collision.

A motorbike was found to have collided with a central reservation.

Sadly, the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

A dark-coloured vehicle was reported as involved in the collision and left the scene.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
