CCTV released after attempted robbery and assault on Staffordshire Moorlands pensioner

Police in the Staffordshire Moorlands have released a number of CCTV images of a man they want to speak to, following an attempted robbery and assault of a pensioner.

The 69-year-old victim was attacked on St Thomas Road, Tean on Sunday.

Officers are now asking that anyone who recognises the man in the footage, or has information on the incident, comes forward.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Do you recognise this man?

"Officers would like to speak to him in connection with an attempted robbery and assault of a 69-year-old man on St Thomas Rd, Tean, on Sunday (5 December).

"The offender is described as white, aged 20 to 30, wearing a dark coat with the hood up.

"Anyone with information should call police quoting 589 of 5 December."
