Peaty goes for gold in final Commonwealth Games race

Uttoxeter's Adam Peaty will race for the last time at the Commonwealth Games tonught.

The three time Olympic champions goes in the 50m Breaststroke final, looking to bounce back after his 100m defeat on Sunday.

He came fourth, the first time he'd been beaten in the event for eight years.

Peaty safely came through the heats for the 50m yesterday and lines up against James Wilby, who beat him to 100m gold at the weekend.

He's hope he's rediscovered enough of his "spark" to win a Commonwealth Games gold at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham tonight, and admitted finishing fourth was a 'real low'.

He announced on twitter that this would be his last race at the Commonwealth Games, this being the third games that he's competed at.
