Man dies after motorbike and car crash in Stoke

A man in his 40s has died after a crash between his motorbike and a car in Stoke-on-Trent.

Emergency services say they were called just after 5pm on 25th September to Park Hall Road.

An air ambulance was sent but paramedics were unable to resuscitate him and he died at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition who was receiving basic life support from a bystander.

"Crews immediately began administering advanced life support, however, sadly despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”

A Staffordshire police spokesperson said: "We were called at 5.10pm yesterday evening (Thursday 25 September) to reports that a black Yamaha motorbike had collided with a car on Park Hall Road near to Park Hall Business village.

"Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, a man in his 40s, died at the scene.

"His family are being supported by specialist officers."

Police are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them quoting incident 517 of 25 September.
