This September, local mental health charity North Staffs Mind is asking the people of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to get their craft on and take part in a Virtual Crafternoon.

Crafternoon encourages people to have fun and do something creative whilst helping to raise funds for better mental health.

There are loads of ways to get involved, from hosting a virtual craft session with friends and family via online video call, to doing something independently and setting yourself a crafty fundraising challenge, or simply by donating to the campaign: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/NSMindVirtualCrafternoon.

Eleanor, North Staffs Mind Fundraiser said: “The impact of the coronavirus outbreak on mental health is unquestionable and it’s more important than ever that we take steps to look after our wellbeing.

“People are looking for new ways to relax and escape what’s happening in the outside world, even if it’s just for half an hour. Taking part in a Crafternoon is the perfect way to do that – perhaps you can learn something new, or even practise any new-found skills you picked up during lockdown.”

We’d love as many people as possible to get involved with Crafternoon, relax and have fun whilst raising much-needed funds for North Staffs Mind and our local mental health services.”
