A man's escaped jail after being sentenced in court on drugs offences

A man who hid cocaine, ecstasy and MDMA inside an air vent in his house in Staffordshire has escaped jail after a court case.
Mark Fullard, 48, from Rugeley, was stopped whilst driving a Ford Fiesta on Sandy Lane back in January 2023.
He told officers he had cocaine hidden in his underwear before being searched.
After arresting him, we then searched his home and found multiple deals of cocaine, ecstasy pills and crystal MDMA hidden in an air vent, along with scales, cannabis and about £11,000 in cash.
The total value of the drugs seized was estimated to be worth around £7,000.
After being questioned in custody, Fullard was charged with the offences and sent to court. He admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine, possessing cannabis and possessing a class C drug.
He was given a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two-years, at Stafford Crown Court on Friday (17 May). He was also ordered to carry out 20 days of unpaid work.
Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury, who dealt with the case and currently works in Staffordshire Police's southern disruptions team, said: “This is a clear example of how we’re targeting illegal drug supply on a proactive basis and acting on local intelligence.
“We’re using a range of different tactics to tackle the concerns of local communities and to go after those who are involved in organised crime across Staffordshire.”
