Man seriously injured after getting trapped in machinery at Stoke-on-Trent warehouse

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after getting trapped in machinery at the Pets at Home Warehouse in Stoke-on-Trent.
Emergency services were called to the site on Birmingham Road yesterday, where firefighters had to use airbags to rescue the man.
The 39-year-old, from Tunstall, was rushed to the Royal Stoke Hospital for treatment.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 1.40pm on Monday (4 October) to Pets at Home Warehouse on Birmingham Road, Stoke-on-Trent, following reports of concerns for a man.
"Officers attended along with fire fighters from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics.
"A 39-year-old man, from the Tunstall area, was found with serious injuries and conveyed to hospital by the ambulance service.
"Officers informed the Health and Safety Executive.
"Inquiries are continuing."
A Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire fighters were called at 13.40 on Monday 4 October to reports of a man trapped in machinery at the Pets at Home Warehouse on Birmingham Road, Stoke-on-Trent.
"Crews from Hanley and Newcastle attended and found a man, in his 30s, with serious injuries.
"Fire fighters used airbags to free the man.
"The man was conveyed to hospital by the ambulance service.
"The incident was left in the care of Staffordshire Police.
"Crews left the scene at 2.42pm."
