Staffordshire man pleads guilty to sexual offences

A man has pleaded guilty to sexual offences against children dating back to the 1960s.
Kenneth Wood, 82, of Tamworth, pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual offences against children, including multiple rapes of two children aged under 13 and indecent assaults of two further victims.
He appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Monday (20 June).
PC Anna-Mae Dawson, from the force’s Child Protection and Exploitation Team, said: “I want to praise the victims for their courage and strength in coming forward to report what happened and throughout the investigation.”
Wood will be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Monday 25 July.
