Man critically injured after Biddulph pub attack

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked outside a pub in Biddulph. Staffordshire.

Police were called to the Crown & Cushion, High Street at around 1:15am on Sunday November 20, following reports of an assault.

It is reported the victim, following the assault, made his way along Tunstall Road and collapsed. The man received facial injuries. He was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and was taken to hospital where he remains. He is in a critical but stable condition.

A 26-year-old man, from Biddulph, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information or has CCTV footage that could help the police with their enquiries, is asked to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 088 of November 20, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
