Stoke-on-Trent man charged with murder over fatal house fire

A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged with murder following a fatal house fire in Wolverhampton.

Dale Francis, 36, from Basford is also charged with four charges of attempted murder and a charge of arson with intent to endanger life.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (7 September).

It comes after a house fire on Plascom Road in Wolverhampton in the early hours of 25 June.

Akashdeep Singh, 26, was rushed to hospital where he later died. Others in the household were also seriously injured.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved.
