Man charged over fire at Farmfoods in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been charged as part of Staffordshire Police's investigation into a fire at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent.

John Condliffe, aged 53, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and theft from a shop.

It comes after officers were called to Moorland Road in Burslem shortly before 1pm on Thursday (23 May) following a fire inside Farmfoods.

Condliffe is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today.
