Man charged with attempted murder in Congleton
It follows an incident at a house in Dale Crescent
A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at an address in Congleton
Police were called out to reports of a man breaking into a house in Dale Crescent on the afternoon of Monday 12th May and threatening a man and woman in the address. The man was also assaulted with an axe.
Stuart Whittaker, aged 48, of no fixed address has been charged with attempted murder, burglary, attempt section 18 assault, breach of a restraining order and possession of an offensive weapon.
Whittaker has been remanded in custody to appear at Warrington Combined Court on Wednesday 14th May.
