Man charged after three-vehicle crash on M6 in Staffordshire

He's due to appear in court later this month

A 26-year-old man has been charged following a road traffic collision on M6 North on September 30.

Police were called at 5.48am on Thursday (30 September) to the M6 North between junction 14 and 15 following reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

Officers arrived and found a white Artic tractor was in collision with a black Mercedes estate and a blue Peugeot Boxer van.

One driver, who provided a sample of breath at the scene, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Nigel Jana, of Ember Park, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit, driving without due care and attention, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Jana is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 15 October.
