Man and boy charged with drug offences in Stoke-on-Trent

A man and a boy have been charged with drug offences after officers found crack cocaine, heroin and other items in Stoke-on-Trent.

At around 4.20pm on Tuesday 13 September, a passenger of a red Ford Fiesta was spotted acting suspiciously in the Fenton area.

Police later located the vehicle in a car-park near Beville Street and conducted a search.

A quantity of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis was seized, along with three mobile phones and £540 in cash.

We then searched an address in Fenton and seized a further quantity of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

Gary Hughes, aged 32, of Victoria Road, Fenton, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, acquiring/using/possessing criminal property and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.

Both appeared before North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Thursday (15 September) and have been granted conditional police bail ahead of future court appearances.
