Man arrested following Salvation Army fire in Stoke
Emergency services were called in the early hours.
A man is being questioned by police after a room fire at the Salvation Army hostel on Vale Street in Stoke.
Staffordshire Police were called to reports of a fire at around 1.20am this morning (Feb 10) by the fire service.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze in a single room at the premises.
A 37-year-old man from the local area was arrested on suspicion of arson shortly afterwards and remains in custody.
