Man arrested after body of woman found in Stafford

A man is being questioned after the body of a woman was found at an address in Stafford.
Staffordshire Police say they were called to a flat on Wolverhampton Road at around 1.20pm yesterday afternoon.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 33 year old man, from Stafford, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being questioned.
In a statement, Staffordshire Police say: "We have arrested a man after a woman’s body was found inside a flat in Stafford.
"A 33-year-old man, from Stafford, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Specially-trained officers are supporting the woman’s family."
Police are now appealing for information, and want anyone who saw anything to contact them on 101.
