Officers are appealing for information after a large amount of dairy products were stolen from an honesty shop in East Staffordshire.

Police were called to the premises on Ellastone Road, Wootton (near Alton) shortly after 9pm last Tuesday 16 August following reports of a break in.

They attended and reviewed CCTV footage of the store at the time of the theft.

It is believed three hooded males, dressed in black, entered the premises at around 8.35pm the same day.

They then emptied a freezer full of ice cream and milk from a chiller, valued to be worth a total of £200, before throwing the items into the back of a black Audi A4 and making their escape in the vehicle.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the theft.
