Police in the Staffordshire Moorlands are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a three-vehicle crash.

It happened on the A52, near Kingsley Works last month.

On Friday 29 October at 11:32am, a blue Fiat 500, a black VW Polo and a Volvo HGV collided.

Christine June Yates, a 72-year-old woman from Kingsley, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

She was later taken by ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Christine died as a result of her injuries on Sunday 14 November.

A man in his 60s and a man in his 70s were also injured at the scene. They were treated by paramedics.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Witnesses who may have seen the vehicles before the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 249 of 29 October, or call 101. Alternatively, email the team direct at ciu@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk.

"We would remind people not to speculate as to the cause of the collision or comment inappropriately as this is a live on-going police investigation."
