Man jailed for 23 years after attempted murder in Biddulph

A man from Congleton who stabbed another man multiple times has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for attempted murder.

The victim was left with life-changing injuries following the incident in Biddulph in March 2025.

32-year-old Jordan Williamson attacked the victim inside his own home.

Williamson also pleaded guilty to offences including possession of a blade in a public place, and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

A Staffordshire police spokesperson said, "We were called at 1.10am on Saturday 15 March 2025 to reports of a burglary at a property on Congleton Road, Biddulph.

"A man who lived at the property was stabbed multiple times and was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head, chest and back. The victim sustained life-changing injuries.

"We arrested Williamson at the scene and he was charged the next day."
