Detectives are investigating after two men targeted a cash machine inside a shop in Bentilee.

Officers were called in the early hours of Sunday (8 October) to reports of a break-in at Ubberley Co-op, on Devonshire Square.

CCTV shows two men entering the store, one with a crowbar, before trying to force open the machine with a small explosive device.

After failing to open it, the suspects made off on a motorbike. They were seen heading towards Bucknall on Ubberley Road. One of the men was wearing a blue hoody. The other suspect had a black hoody on.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended.

Police are keen to speak to anyone with any information, particularly those with CCTV or doorbell footage from the area at the time.
