Four arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Stoke-on-Trent stabbing

Five arrests have been made following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent early this morning (April 26).

Officers attended an address in Birchfield Road, Abbey Hulton, just after 630am where a man was reported as suffering a facial wound. The assault took place in nearby Hulton Abbey park.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment. The injuries are not life-threatening.

Following enquiries a car was stopped in Middlewich, Cheshire, and arrests made.

Three men from Stoke-on-Trent, aged 23, 39 and 40, and a 40-year-old man from Leeds have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A woman in her fifties, from Stoke-on-Trent, has also been arrested in connection with the incident.
