Investigation launched after firework thrown into Nantwich pub

An investigation is underway after a firework was thrown into a pub in Nantwich, causing a fire to break out.
Firefighters were called to the property on Beam Street last night where they found a small blaze in the lobby area of the building.
It's not believed anyone was injured during the incident.
A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At around 7pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a public house on Beam Street, Nantwich.
"Firefighters attended the scene and on arrival they found there had been a small fire in the lobby area caused by a firework which had been thrown into the building.
"The fire was extinguished by staff at the premises using a dry powder extinguisher and firefighters then used a large fan to clear the smoke from the building.
"Crews were detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
"An investigation into the fire is underway and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tua, quoting IML 1121753."
